Ernest Beauregard established BeauTech, Inc. operated in 1980 in Perryton, Texas. Mr. Beauregard gained prominence in the field of plunger lift technology at Ferguson Beauregard, a company he co-founded and has become the world’s foremost supplier in this field.

Steven K. Newton came on board in 1984 as manager. Mr Newton not only developed sales of the Furguson Beauregard equipment line but also developed and expanded sales of other equipment and services including associated wireline service, HiQual lease fencing and livestock products and of course BeauTech's own patented SLOW JACK™ System which is presently being globally marketed. In 1991 Mr. Newton became Vice President and General Manager of BeauTech, Inc. then in 1999 Mr. Newton purchased the company from the Beauregard family after Ernest "Bo" Beauregard's untimely death in 1997.

The primary thrust of BeauTech's mission is to extend economic limits and service marginal wells with liquid loading problems. Recognizing that economic limits could be extended by dramatically cutting lifting costs BeauTech patented improvements to an existing technique, hence the trademarked and now patented SLOW JACK™.
